I am a counsellor working with individuals, couples and relationships using talking, walking and creative therapy. I offer a choice of locations for my therapeutic work.

I work in a private, dedicated space with 2.5m between myself and my clients. I also offer online sessions via Zoom and walking therapy.

I look forward to working with you.

Counselling can help…

If life is getting on top of you, you feel anxious, alone, overwhelmed, are dealing with loss, grief or separation. If you feel stuck, out of control, or unable to move forward in your life, talking to a professional counsellor can help. I will listen and support you through your healing process.

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become”

Carl Jung

Talking Therapy

I offer a safe contained, relaxed environment, where we will initially discuss the issues you want to deal with, often several issues will be present at the same time. We will gradually build a holistic picture of your life, looking at your past, present and perceived future. We can explore all aspects of life; emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual, work, home, relationships, friends and family.
I often introduce picture cards and/or stones and other objects for the client to use in a creative way to help with representation, to project or to describe, as sometimes words are not enough, sometimes, there are no words.

Walking Therapy

One of the reasons I love this holistic approach to counselling is because it takes place outdoors in a setting that is by its very nature therapeutic. The client is often more relaxed and at ease in this less formal environment. Walking therapy can equip you with the tools you need to become more solution-focused. By combining physical exercise with counselling, psychotherapy, mindfulness and coaching, you will begin to see improvement in your strategic thinking, enhanced creativity, reduced anxiety, alleviation of stress, improvement around anger issues and reduced levels of depression.
We can meet at a selection of local West Dorset beauty spots, either woodland, open countryside or coastal, to walk, talk and experience whatever nature offers up.

We cannot avoid being connected with others. None of us exists except in relationship, we are born in relationship and need relationships to know who we are in this world.”
